All organizational and educational work on occupational health and industrial safety is carried out in SKZ-U LLP in accordance with the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Laws and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
No accidents and industrial injuries related to the work activity of employees were recorded in the company (they did not happen).
Internal control of ensuring occupational health and safety in SKZ-U LLP is carried out by the HSE service. According to the approved schedule for checking the status of HSE in the divisions of the company, inspections are carried out by commissions with the drawing up of inspection reports.
The company carried out all kinds of required company instructions. Primary, introductory, repeated and unscheduled instructions are carried out in a timely manner. Based on the information letters of NAC Kazatomprom JSC about “On-the-job accidents, road accidents in uranium mining enterprises”, extraordinary instructions were conducted with the employees of the company with records in the journal. This information is used when conducting instructions at the workplace.
The Integrated Management System is developed, documented, implemented, maintained in working order and consistently improved in SKZ-U LLP in accordance with the requirements of ST RK ISO 9001-2009 and ST RK ISO 14001-2006, OHSAS 18001-2007, ST RK 50001.
In December 2015, an external audit with confirming the compliance of the existing system with the international standards of the integrated management system was conducted in SKZ-U LLP. The “EUROASIA MS” compliance verification body successfully completed and issued confirmation of compliance of our activities with international standards. The term of validity of certificates of SKZ-U LLP is until December 2016.
The administration of the company pays a lot of attention to the issues of provision of the workers of the SAP with special clothes, special footwear and other personal protective equipment. The employees of the SAP are provided with the necessary protective clothing, special footwear and other personal protective equipment. The norms of free issue of overalls, special footwear and other personal protective equipment to the employees of the company were approved by General Director and coordinated with the state labor inspector of the Kyzylorda region on July 03, 2015.
Training of the company’s personnel is carried out on a regular basis.
Training sessions are conducted in order to check the readiness of the forces to eliminate possible emergencies and accidents. A plan for the elimination of accidents at the SAP was developed. According to the approved schedules, training exercises were conducted on the basis of accident elimination plan with the participation of the heads of the SAP. Based on the results of the training alarms, a detailed analysis of the actions of the personnel was carried out, and a list of corrective actions was prepared to take specific measures. SKZ-U LLP annually takes part in the national command-and-staff training exercises.
The quality of conducting pre-shift medical examinations of personnel is strictly controlled by the HSE service and the heads of divisions. According to the schedule (March 2017), an annual medical examination of the personnel of the company was carried out.
